Surah Al-Aʿrāf (The Heights), Ayahs 163 & 166

“And ask them about the town that was by the sea, when they were transgressing regarding the Sabbath: when their fish came to them openly on the day of their Sabbath, but on the day they did not observe the Sabbath, they did not come to them. Thus We tested them because they were persistently departing from what is right.”

Surah Al-Aʿrāf – Ayah 163
Highlights

Am I living within the limits my Lord has set, or am I slowly crossing them because of my own desires, habits, or excess?

“So when they defiantly exceeded the limits (عَتَوْا:ʿAtaw) of what they were forbidden, We said to them, ‘Be despised and rejected apes.’”

Surah Al-Aʿrāf – Ayah 166
Highlights

Am I humbly accepting Allah’s guidance, or am I persistently crossing the limits He has shown me, even after recognizing His warnings?
