Sūrat Al-Anʿām — Āyah 151
“Say: Come, I will recite what your Lord has prohibited for you: that you do not associate anything with Him; that you show kindness to your parents; that you do not kill your children because of poverty—we provide for you and for them; that you do not approach immoral acts, whether open or hidden; and that you do not take the life which Allah has made inviolable, except by right. This He has instructed you with, so that you may reason.”
This āyah clarifies what Allah (Subḥānahu) has prohibited, establishing fundamental boundaries for our conduct: associating anything with Him, mistreating parents, killing children because of poverty, approaching immoral acts openly or secretly, and taking a life made inviolable except by right.
Am I reflecting on what the Qur’an itself defines as haram and respecting these boundaries?
